Minors

International Engineering Minor – The International Engineering Minor is paired with any engineering baccalaureate major at any campus to provide students with an opportunity to learn about and understand their profession in a global context. It is designed to provide students with knowledge, language skills, and experiences to help prepare them for a career that is likely to include collaborations with professionals from various parts of the world. Students can enroll in the International Engineering Minor on LionPath.

Engineering Leadership Development Minor – The Engineering Leadership Development Minor focuses on providing a challenging, relevant, and dynamic world-class program that further engages students in their education while preparing them for leadership roles in a technical work environment.

Certificates

Engineering and Community Engagement – This certificate is administered through the Humanitarian Engineering and Social Entrepreneurship Program (HESE). HESE is an integrated learning, research, and entrepreneurship program that brings together students and faculty from across campus in the rigorous research, design, field-testing, and launch of technology-based enterprises in low- and middle-income countries. Through a series of five courses, HESE teams systematically advance ventures over multiple years with aspirations for large-scale commercialization and dissemination. Alongside the social enterprises, students work on original publishable research that strengthen ventures by ensuring they use an evidence-based and data-driven approach. The overarching goal is to deliver sustainable impact while preparing students for careers in social innovation and global sustainable development.

International Engineering Certificate – Students will enroll in the certificate via LionPath. At the time of graduation, Global Engineering Engagement will confirm the completion of the requirements and a certificate will be issued by the registrar.
