2018 global engineering fellows cohort

About the Global Engineering Fellows

The Global Engineering Fellows Program allows engineering students who have studied abroad to build on their experiences, connect with other study abroad alumni, and engage themselves globally on and off campus. Fellows act as peer advisers for other engineering students interested in studying abroad, take a one credit course focused on global professional development, and deliver presentations at classroom visits and other Global Engineering Engagement events. Additionally, fellows participate in initiatives geared towards the integration of Penn State College of Engineering’s domestic and international student populations.

Through this program, Penn State Engineering students are able to improve communication skills, professional development skills, intercultural competencies, and a number of other useful skillsets through a variety of events, activities, and guest speakers.

Global Engineering Fellows earn a scholarship each semester that is funded by our sponsor, IES Abroad.

The mission of Global Engineering Engagement is to create an environment that embraces the values of international education, where access to global exposure and opportunities to develop cross-cultural competence is pervasive. We believe that it is within our reach to ensure that all engineering students can become internationally engaged.
